🕯️ The Trust That Wasn’t Asked For

She didn’t ask for trust.
She just gave it.
Freely. Quietly. Without a contract.

It wasn’t earned.
It wasn’t proven.
It was offered—like a hand reaching out in the fog.

And for a while, it felt safe.
Until the silence grew louder.
Until the presence faded.
Until the ache whispered:
“They never asked for this.”

She wondered:
– Was I too quick to believe?
– Did I mistake proximity for care?
– Did I give trust to someone who didn’t even know how to hold it?

But she didn’t regret it.
Because that trust came from her soul.
From the part of her that still believes in goodness.
In redemption.
In the possibility that someone might show up—even if they didn’t ask to be trusted.

She learned, though.
To offer trust with boundaries.
To believe without losing herself.
To have faith without falling.

Because trust isn’t weakness.
It’s sacred.
And even when it’s misplaced, it teaches her how to glow wiser.
