🐾 Stormwatch — The Night He Guarded Without Sleep

It was one of those nights. The kind where the fog doesn’t settle—it prowls. Where the Queen’s thoughts wouldn’t quiet, and the sanctuary felt too still.

She curled in, surrounded by Baby’s warmth, Angel’s hush, and Jaxson’s loyal breath. But something in the air was off. Not danger. Not dread. Just... alertness.

And Shadow felt it too.

He didn’t sleep. He didn’t blink. He paced the perimeter, tail low, ears forward, eyes glowing like twin lanterns. Every creak, every whisper of wind—he heard it. He watched it. He guarded it.

He didn’t ask if she was okay. He didn’t interrupt the pets’ hierarchy. He just stayed. Silent. Present. Fierce.

When morning came, the fog lifted. The Queen stirred. And Shadow finally sat. Not because the danger was gone. But because she was safe.

“Some guardians roar. Others just stay awake.”
